Main Responsibilities:   
  
  To manage the Direct and Indirect Purchase Distribution (Logistics and Warehousing) function in an efficient and sustainable way for PU located in India.  
  
   Purchasing   
  -  Effectively manage the direct and indirect material purchasing function.  
  -  This function includes both tactical and operational buying.  
  -  Indigenous Localization project, new Vendor development, Establishing controlling the Outsourcing process and subcontracting activities, making contracts and agreements Negotiation etc.  
  -  Adherence to Sandvik supplier code of conduct and Sustainable Supplier management.  
  -  Monitoring the Supplier performance by periodical audits, rating and reviews. Drive improvements for sustainable supplies. Ensure timely Supplier payments.  
  -  Participate in Strategic initiative and lead the projects for sustainable supply chain and cost savings.  
  -  Identify, evaluate and capitalize on opportunities to reduce the production cost (outsourcing) second source, better buying negotiation.  
  -  Make supplier agreements and contract for continuous and uninterrupted flow of material as per production requirement.  
  -  Monitoring the supplier performance and give feedback, quarterly ratings for their improvement.  
  -  Conduct supplier audits as per Sandvik Global Purchasing policies, SCOC and ensure adherence to the same by closing the audit finding and open points  
  
  
   EXIM Logistics   
  -  Managing the Cross-boundary transaction and material flow within the agreed time to support the uninterrupted supplies.  
  -  Arrange the material movement i.e. shipment Pick-up, arrange international freight management and Custom clearance for all Inbound/Outbound shipments complying to EOU (Export Oriented Unit) rules.  
  -  Ensure high level of efficient accurate documentation, timely custom clearance of the shipments  
  -  Co-ordination with banking partners and Central finance department for foreign exchange flow (suppliers payment and Export income receipts). Custom duty payment  
  
  
   Warehousing   
  -  Managing the warehouses.  
  -  Handling article line items.  
  -  Activity including receipts, storage, issues and inventory management.  
  -  Achieving 100% stock accuracy as a custodian for the material and making smooth uninterrupted supplies to production on daily basis. Disposal for slow moving and obsolete  
  -  Daily arranging the packing of finished goods and arrange logistics for the local and export outbound shipments movement. Tracking the shipment till the destination on time.  
  -  Overall maintenance and control of the warehouse from Safety 5s perspective  
  -  Cooperation with Divisional Planning Team  
  
  
   Compliance   
  -  Ensure compliance to legal requirements in terms of Export Oriented Units (SEEPZ), GST, IGCRD, Customs laws, Excise Laws, DGFT, Octroi / LBT Foreign Exchange regulations and related aspects as applicable.  
  -  Subject matter expert in managing Strategic Government Relations / Liaison at various levels in Central Govt departments complying with the legal requirement of Supply Chain, Logistics, Imports Exports Indirect tax.  
  -  Daily operations involving maintenance of required statutory records, Licenses renewals, registration, periodical submission of Government returns.  
  -  Maximize the tax benefits by utilization of tax credits, liquidation and claiming Export Incentives MEIS.  
  -  Updating the compliance in the e-Compliance tool.  
  -  Application, opening, monitoring and closing of Advance Licenses, EPCG, Custom bonds etc.,  
  -  Implementation and compliance to QMS, EHS, Group Assurance, Supplier COC, SA 8000 within the department and at suppliers / vendor.  
  -  Attending Statutory Audits, Internal Audits and Government agency audits.  
  
  
   Other Activities   
  -  Provide leadership and support to Supply Chain Organization. Effectively manage control the function of Direct Purchase and Distribution (Logistics -Inbound Outbound), Warehousing, Imports Exports and associated indirect Taxation including liaison, complying with Government department for BA- SMS and other BAs to achieve targeted results as agreed.  
  -  Establishing departmental objectives. Evaluating and monitoring results to achieve the set goals Optimization and synergizing the resources, Implementing the best practices to have efficient Supply Chain solutions to have Delighted Customers. .  
  -  Individual Performance management (IPM) of team members. setting up ambitious targets and aligning with the objectives of the business, Preparing SMART IPM document Conduct Periodic reviews and feedback.  
  -  Effective interaction and services as agreed with all departments at Dormer Pramet India and relevant SMS global or local functions and associated areas like Global Distribution Centers and Central Services like Finance. Make service level agreements and have periodic interaction to understand the needs and support the BAs. Participate in periodic review meetings and annual conferences to align with the Business strategy.  
  -  Departmental Budgeting - forecasting, monitoring, and controlling the overall cost of the department. Establishing activity wise cost allocation keys  
  -  Understand and demonstrate the attributes as defined in the Sandvik Leadership model  
  -  Member and participate in Sandvik Global Trade Compliance meetings and Project like GSP, TRIP, Export Control, Implementation of best practices  
  -  Participate in Strategic initiative and lead the projects. Develop Plan B for critical supplies and create sustainable supply chain. Localization projects for Import substitute and savings for the company.  
  -  Adherence to the platform for way of doing business expressed in the The Power of Sandvik .  
  -  Agile and collaborative approach to supply chain management, driving transparency, responsiveness, and continuous improvement across operations.  
  
  
   Experience and required competencies:   
  -  Minimum 12-15 years of practical experience in the relevant field.  
  -  High level of internal and external Customer orientation and Service attitude, Leadership skills, effective communication, Inventory Management, networking and Lesioning, interacting and dealing with Government bodies, knowledge on different laws Methodical and Time bound.  
  -  Basic knowledge in using MS Office applications Good Commercial knowledge, Good Leadership ability, People development capability, Proactive approach, Collaborative, Strategic thinking ability, Team player, Managing and handling multiple tasks, Conflict management ability, negotiating skills, Fair and balanced decision making, Self-awareness and basic knowledge in using MS Office applications and Sandvik systems.
