Manager - SMS Hydraulics

Overseeing and managing the hydraulics of Steel melt shop including Arc Furnace, Induction Furnace, AOD, VDD, LRF, Slab and Bloom Caster, Auto grinders and Bailing Press sections on a day-to-day basis. Oversee the maintenance and repair of Hydraulic systems, components, and machinery in the Steel Melting Shop (SMS), Caster, Auto grinders and Scrap Yard. Coordinating Operation and other concerned departments for planning and execution of maintenance and replacements jobs. Planning and execution of Shutdown Jobs accordingly. Maintaining all departmental objectives like Cost, Delay, MTTR, MTBF etc. to be aligned with the given targets. Ensuring Safety of manpower and machineries. Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on Hydraulic equipment to ensure optimal performance of Cylinders and hydraulic oil. Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities. Manage and maintain hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, Hydraulic seals and hoses, to ensure proper functioning in the SMS and caster equipment. Coordinate, troubleshoot and resolve hydraulic system faults, ensuring that all hydraulic machinery operates efficiently. Monitor hydraulic fluid levels, pressure, and temperature to ensure safe and efficient operation. Coordinating Audit related jobs, documentation and compliance reports to ensure availability of necessary documents and activities to be performed under different ISO standards and others. Oversee material management, Purchase requisitions, Delivery follow-up, Spare availability, Sub store Up-dation, Communication with vendors, Technical approvals etc. Skills Required: Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team effectively. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Good knowledge of Hydraulic system working principles, troubleshooting, Hydraulic circuits, Design and modification, knowledge of maintenance of equipment like Pump, Valves. Functional knowledge of Arc Furnace, Induction furnace, AOD, VD, LRF, Casters, Slab Grinders and Bundle presses and their hydraulic systems and circuits. Good knowledge of SAP PM Module. Knowledge of Hydraulic equipment's like pumps, valves, hose pipes, Seals, Cylinders and their standards. Good knowledge of internal audits and different safety, environment and Quality standards. Good knowledge of making reports, PPTs on Power point and excel. Qualifications: Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering. (B.E./ B.Tech.). Master degree is a plus.
