Role Overview

The Tender Manager is responsible for managing the complete tendering process for ash transportation, ash utilization, and ash disposal projects with thermal power plants (TPPs). The role involves tender identification, document preparation, cost estimation, risk assessment, coordination with technical and operations teams, and ensuring high-quality, competitive bid submissions within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Tender Management

• Identify relevant tenders from government portals and power plant websites.
• Review tender documents, scope, eligibility, and commercial conditions.
• Prepare technical and financial bids, compliance sheets, and supporting documents.
• Ensure timely submission of online/offline tenders.
  

Costing & Technical Coordination

• Prepare cost estimates for fleet (tippers/bulkers), fuel, manpower, equipment, and logistics.
• Understand ash types (fly ash, bottom ash, pond ash) and ash handling processes.
• Coordinate with operations, transport, finance, and vendors for inputs.
  

Communication & Compliance

• Attend pre-bid meetings and clarify queries with tender authorities.
• Manage EMD, bank guarantees, statutory certificates, and registrations.
• Maintain tender trackers, documentation, and submission records.
  

Post-Tender Activities

• Support negotiations, review LOA/LOI, and ensure smooth handover to projects.
  

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate in Engineering, Commerce, or Business Administration.
• 410 years of tendering experience in ash transportation, waste management, logistics, or EPC.
• Strong knowledge of ash handling/logistics tendering.
• Good costing, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with PSU/private TPP e-tendering platforms.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PDF tools.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
