Role Overview: As a Mortgage Underwriter at our organization, you will play a crucial role in underwriting mortgage business and effectively managing the portfolio in the assigned branch/location. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and assessing a wide range of complex loan applications, conducting personal discussions with customers to establish creditworthiness, maintaining portfolio MIS, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. You will be expected to underwrite proposals within defined guidelines, assess income to obligation ratios, loan to value ratios, and critically review credit proposals to identify potential risks. Additionally, you will work closely with the sales team to facilitate the quick turnaround of credit lending proposals for mortgage business, including loans against property and home loans.
