R&D Manager

Key Responsibilities

• New Product Development:

  Develop new specialty chemical products aligned with business objectives and customer requirements.

• Process Development & Optimization:

  Design, optimize, and standardize synthetic processes for

  better yield, cost efficiency, and safety compliance

  .

• Scale-Up & Technology Transfer:

  Lead the

  scale-up from lab to pilot plant

  and ensure smooth technology transfer to manufacturing teams.

• Analytical Support:

  Coordinate with analytical teams to establish

  basic testing protocols

  for product quality, stability, and compliance.

• Innovation & Market Alignment:

  Conduct feasibility studies for

  emerging technologies, raw materials, and sustainable chemistry options

  .

• Documentation & Compliance:

  Prepare process documents, technical reports, and ensure adherence to

  regulatory and EHS guidelines

  .

• Team Leadership:

  Mentor R&D chemists, allocate tasks, review project progress, and build technical capabilities within the team.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  Work closely with

  production, QA/QC, procurement, and marketing

  teams for seamless product development cycles.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:

  M.Sc./M.Tech/Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields.

• Experience:

  8–12 years in

  R&D and process development

  in chemical manufacturing, with

  2–3 years in a leadership role

  .

• Technical Expertise:

• Process chemistry and

  scale-up techniques

• Knowledge of

  reaction engineering, process safety, and optimization tools

• Familiarity with analytical techniques like

  HPLC, GC

  for product validation

• Skills:

  Project management, problem-solving, cross-functional communication, and team leadership.

Preferred Attributes

• Exposure to

  green chemistry and sustainable manufacturing

  practices.
• Experience in

  technology transfer

  from R&D to commercial production.
• Track record of

  successful product commercialization

  in chemicals.
