Manager Ocean Import

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of ocean freight logistics
• Manage relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other vendors
• Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations
• Negotiate contracts and rates with service providers
• Track and report on shipment statuses
• Develop strategies to optimize freight management and reduce costs
• Resolve any issues or delays in shipping processes
• Collaborate with other departments to align freight operations with business goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ocean freight management
• Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations
• Proven track record of managing vendor relationships
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in logistics management software
