Manager - MH Planning

Role & responsibilities

The Capacity Planner for Cold FMCG category is responsible for ensuring that storage,

manpower, and assets across the cold-chain network are optimally planned to meet dynamic

business demand. This role requires balancing service levels, operational efficiency, and cost

through proactive capacity management, data-driven problem solving, and productivity

improvement initiatives across warehouses, and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Storage Planning

• plan storage capacity for chilled and frozen categories across MHS as per the demand

forecast

• Identify space bottlenecks and execute mitigation plans including layout optimization,

racking improvements, and overflow storage allocation.

2. Manpower Planning

• Create detailed manpower models for cold storage and handling operations based on

throughput, volume trends, and productivity norms.

• Plan shift rosters and manpower allocation to meet daily and weekly demand

fluctuations while controlling overtime and idle time.

• Work with HR and Operations to forecast manpower needs for seasonal spikes, new

launches, or expansion of cold category SKUs.

3. Assets Planning

• Forecast asset requirements for new store launches, seasonal peaks, and business

growth.

• Track and report utilization metrics, downtime, and cost efficiency for all critical cold-

chain assets.

4. Productivity & Continuous Improvement

• Lead productivity improvement projects across cold operations focusing on storage

utilization, manpower efficiency, and energy optimization.

• Benchmark internal processes against best practices in cold-chain FMCG and

implement process standardization across sites.
