About the Role

Lab & Testing division

Key Responsibilities

• Lab & Testing Oversight:

   Supervise all laboratory functions including tensile, hardness, impact, and other mechanical tests, along with IGC and chemical analysis.

• Destructive Testing (DT):

   Plan, execute, and certify destructive testing activities, ensuring strict compliance with ASTM, ASME, and client-specific standards.

• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT):

   Oversee UT, DP, MPI, and other NDT methods, ensuring timely and accurate certification of results.

• Test Piece Marking (TPM):

   Ensure proper marking, traceability, and lifecycle tracking of test pieces.

• Heat Treatment Quality:

   Monitor and validate heat treatment cycles, ensuring metallurgical integrity and consistency in results.

• Documentation & Reporting:

   Prepare, review, and maintain lab records, test certificates, and quality documentation for client submission and audits.

• In-Process Quality Control:

   Implement checks at all production stages to maintain dimensional accuracy, metallurgical soundness, and customer satisfaction.

• CAD Support for Testing & Reports:

   Use CAD tools to prepare, review, and interpret drawings for test pieces, inspection layouts, and technical documentation where required.

• Team Leadership:

   Lead the Lab & Testing team, guide inspectors, and ensure effective collaboration with production and QA/QC departments.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Level II certification in UT, DP, MPI (or equivalent NDT methods) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of 

  destructive and non-destructive testing methods

   in forging and metallurgical industries.
• Proficiency in 

  CAD (2D/3D)

   for test piece drawings, layouts, and client documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO, ASME, ASTM standards relevant to forgings and flanges.
• Strong organizational, reporting, and leadership abilities.
