Manager - IT

Role & responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, WLAN).
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Manage switches, routers, firewalls, and access points to ensure reliable communication.
• Administer and maintain Windows/Linux servers, file servers, and backup systems.
• Ensure system and data integrity through regular maintenance, patching, and updates.
• Oversee IP address management, VLAN configurations, and routing protocols.
• Deploy and maintain cloud based applications on Servers
• Manage inter-site and cloud connectivity (e.g., MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN).
• Support integration between on-premises systems and cloud-based applications.
• Ensure seamless communication between networked systems and platforms.
• Monitor and optimize bandwidth utilization and network traffic flow.
• Implement and maintain firewall, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security systems.
• Perform periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and best practices.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Liaise with internet service providers, hardware suppliers, and IT service vendors.
• Evaluate and manage vendor performance based on SLAs and KPIs.
• Negotiate service contracts and oversee procurement of network-related equipment and services.
• Coordinate with vendors for upgrades, repairs, and escalated troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, assets, and procedures.
• Provide technical support to users and resolve escalated IT issues.
• Train junior IT staff or support teams as needed.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in network and systems administration.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent preferred.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, or other cloud environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing vendors and service contracts.
