We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic Project Manager with a proven consultant mindset and a strong background in business and data analytics. This unique hybrid role involves managing the complete lifecycle of data-driven projects while simultaneously serving as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of business challenges, combining rigorous project management with the ability to translate data into actionable, strategic insights. They will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business leaders, to ensure our analytics initiatives deliver tangible business value.
Lead and manage analytics and business intelligence projects from ideation to delivery, utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring a clear and measurable path to success.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines and decide resource allocation.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively developing contingency plans.
Communicate project status, progress, and performance metrics to all stakeholders, including senior leadership, through regular reports and presentations.
Act as a strategic partner to business units, understanding their pain points and translating complex business questions into specific, data-driven requirements.
Influence and advise stakeholders on the use of data and analytics to solve problems and capitalize on business opportunities.
Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to elicit requirements and align on project goals.
Challenge the status quo and propose innovative analytical solutions that drive efficiency, growth, and informed decision-making.
Oversee the end-to-end analytics process, from data acquisition and cleaning to analysis, modeling, and visualization.
Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and relevance of data and analytical models.
Ensure that project outcomes are not just reports or dashboards but are actionable insights that directly address the initial business problem.
Champion data literacy and drive the importance of a data-driven culture across the organization.
Assemble and lead multidisciplinary project teams, including data engineers, data analysts, business analysts, and developers.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, providing guidance, motivation, and mentorship.
Manage dependencies between different teams and workstreams to ensure seamless execution.
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a project management role focused on data, analytics, or business intelligence.
Demonstrated success in managing complex projects from inception to completion, delivering on time and within budget.
Experience working with large datasets and a fair understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling concepts.
Proven experience in a consulting-oriented role, either in a professional services firm or an internal consulting capacity, is a significant plus.
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com).
