The Insurance Manager will act as the central point of contact for all insurance-related activities across Saint-Gobain businesses in India. This role is responsible for managing employee insurance programs, ensuring timely renewals, optimizing claims processes, and maintaining strong relationships with TPAs and brokers. The ideal candidate will ensure the insurance program remains efficient, employee-centric, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Policy & Coverage Management

  • Manage addition and deletion of employees across all business units in coordination with HR and payroll teams.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date coverage across all employee categories and business entities.
  • Lead the renewal process for all group insurance policies (health, accident, life, etc.) in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Claims Oversight

  • Review and monitor claims data and trends across businesses.
  • Coordinate with TPAs and insurers to ensure timely and fair settlement of claims.
  • Analyze high-value or disputed claims and provide resolution support.

Employee Support & Communication

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees for all insurance-related queries and escalations.
  • Conduct awareness sessions and create communication materials to educate employees on policy benefits and processes.
  • Ensure seamless onboarding of new employees into the insurance program.

Vendor & SLA Management

  • Monitor and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with TPAs and insurance brokers.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with service providers and initiate corrective actions when needed.
  • Evaluate and onboard new vendors as required, ensuring alignment with Saint-Gobains standards.

Program Effectiveness & Compliance

  • Ensure the insurance program remains relevant, sustainable, and cost-effective.
  • Benchmark policies against industry standards and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain documentation for audits and internal reviews.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports on claims, premiums, and utilization.
  • Provide insights to leadership on cost trends, risk exposure, and employee satisfaction.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for insurance-related expenses.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or related field (MBA or Insurance Certification preferred).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in insurance management, preferably in a large or multi-business organization.
  • Strong knowledge of group insurance policies, claims processes, and vendor management.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and insurance management tools.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
