Manager
Principal Responsibilities
- Management of a portfolio of traded loans recording rollovers, repayments and other loan events.
- Completion of operational processing in a timely and cost effective manner, ensuring time critical deadlines are achieved and highlighting any bottlenecks or processing constraints to the team supervisor.
- Ensuring that all documentation satisfies procedural and audit requirements in respect of SLT processing. Ensuring that payments are input to enable release in accordance with bank deadlines.
- Completing Loan IQ and SENTRY input to accurately reflect purchase, sale and rollover accounting requirements.
- Resolution of outstanding cash items, taking action to reconcile the Nostro and clearing accounts. Compilation and reconciliation of Front office system to back office system (FOBO Rec )
- Ensuring that all queries both internal and external are responded to in a timely manner, seeking guidance where required. Maintenance of the team inbox, attending to queries and responding in a timely manner.
- Close liaison with the Sales, Trading and Closing teams and Agents to ensure the smooth processing of transactions.
- Support the SLT Ops team through project work as allocated to improve processes, procedures and systems operated within the team
- Assist Closers and Middle Office with position queries and resolve in timely manner. Complete input to CLMT of counterparts and borrowers for sanction screening purposes.
- Monitors the performance of the team and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken to address issues that may prevent timely and accurate settlement and investigations
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
Qualifications
- Previous Secondary Loans experience is a significant advantage for the role.
- Knowledge of Loan IQ is essential, working knowledge of Clearpar.
- Good excel and analytical skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work, to ensure transaction deadlines are achieved.
- Pro-active problem solving attitude.
- Able to deliver high work standards.
- Able to thrive under pressure.
