General Summary

Under general supervision of Sr HR Director, directs and performs a variety of strategic tasks to mitigate risk, reduce exposure designed to enhance the overall Employee Relations function by resolving and/or triaging issues pertaining to employee complaints and ER compliance reporting.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop effective relationships with Operations Management and Corporate partners to promote positive employee relations throughout the organization to ensure a high level of employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Experience in conducting effective investigations and documentation techniques utilizing online case management tools for tracking and maintaining required documentation including intake, investigation notes, supporting documents, and final reports of actions taken.
  • Utilizes data from surveys, reports, and other means to identify trends; works with support groups to proactively address trends and ER challenges.
  • Supports and facilitates the development of training for managers and employees. Partners with Training and Organizational Development, Legal, etc.) to deliver training and/or other HR programs to ensure compliance with employment practices.
  • Interprets and communicates Unifis policies and procedures clearly and consistently to employees.
  • Collaborates and consults with various departments, including but not limited to Legal, Compliance, Risk, Comp and Benefits, as needed.
  • Practical knowledge and application of Diversity and Inclusion practices and programs.
  • Review and analysis of select compliance reports for federal, state, and local employment laws/regulations.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in US employee relations, investigations, employment laws, and disciplinary actions
  • Excellent consultation skills and the ability to seek out information and work effectively with all levels of employees within the organization. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
  • Advanced people skills; high level of tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality
  • Familiarity with UKG, Avature software, Ethics Point, MS Office Products

Preferred Skills

  • Substantive knowledge of US employment laws and practices
  • Required knowledge and application of practices under Title VII, ADAA, FMLA, ADEA, EPA, federal, state, and local laws, and statutes, which govern employment policies and practices.

Additional Notes

Must be willing to work in US-based hours between 9 am EST and 6 pm EST (6:30 pm IST to 3:30 am IST)
