Job Description

1.Job Objective :- Procurement of Metal and Other Commodities 2.Key Role & Responsibilities :- 1. To decide cost of Metal (Aluminum, Copper, Zinc) based on LME 2. Identify and select suppliers based on the requirements given 3. Obtain quotation, finalize technical and commercial scope, negotiate with the supplier, release Purchase Orders 4. Close coordination with the suppliers and internal customers regarding delivery commitments 5. Participation with cross functional teams for following activities a. Cost Reduction initiatives b. Inventory Control c. Import substitution d. Productivity improvement etc. 6. Preparing MIS reports , 7. Collect information and maintain a database of products and suppliers available in the market 8. Working on RFQs 9. Regular Assessments of commodity markets, Financial Markets, Global issues, Geo Political issues 3.Qualification & Experience Required :- Essential: BE of any stream with 10-15 years of Experience in Commodity, Metal Procurement, Procurement Management, Global Sourcing Preferred: BE Metallurgy / Post Graduate Diploma / MBA, Experience in Die casting / Automobile Industry 4.Personal Characteristic :- Sincere, Hardworking, Assertive, Good Negotiations skills Good Business Acumen Knowledge of Commodities, Global Markets Location: At Manufacturing plants and Office Facilities situated in Chakan, Pune.
