Manager - Due Diligence

As a member of the Due Diligence (DD) team at a leading global financial services firm, your role will involve conducting comprehensive due diligence investigations to identify and assess business and reputational risk issues related to potential clients, partners, and vendors. You will play a crucial part in producing DD reports by working closely with various internal teams such as Business Units, Client On-Boarding teams, Financial Crimes Group, and Environmental Risk Officers regionally and globally. **Key Responsibilities:** - Independently produce due diligence background reports from initiation to completion. - Perform focused desktop research in English. - Summarize factual findings from open source desktop research into reports. - Review information and sources for accuracy, reliability, and relevance in risk assessment. - Provide timely updates to the Asia Pacific DD management team on relevant findings and case-related issues. - Assist the Asia Pacific DD management team with ad-hoc tasks as required. **Qualifications and Skills:** - 0-4 years of relevant work experience in core Due Diligence in Asia. - Strong people and communication skills in a culturally diverse environment. - Advanced research and writing skills acquired through postgraduate studies or work experience in investigative fields. - Ability to write clearly, edit for accuracy, and analyze and synthesize information effectively. - Experience in desktop information retrieval, online databases, and data mining tools. - Familiarity with regulatory frameworks related to AML/Sanctions/Anti-Corruption in the banking industry. - Passion for Due Diligence and the ability to thrive in a challenging environment. - Graduate from a reputable international university. - Certification in Anti Money Laundering and/or Fraud Examination would be an advantage.
