Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely filing of income tax returns, TDS returns, tax audits, and other statutory filings
• Handle assessments and reply to notices from tax authorities
• Draft responses, submissions, appeals, and coordinate with legal counsel wherever necessary
• Assist in preparation of documentation, case files, and legal research

• Advise on tax implications for business transactions and regulatory changes
• Maintain tax process documentation and drive automation where feasible

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in core Direct Tax functions
• Strong understanding of Income Tax Act, judicial precedents, and tax litigation processes
• Proven experience in handling tax assessments and appeals independently
