Job Description

Experience:

Position Summary:

The Manager - Design will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design and drawing activities for various water and wastewater treatment systems, including STP (Sewage Treatment Plants), WTP (Water Treatment Plants), and RO (Reverse Osmosis) systems. The role includes supervising design deliverables, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and providing technical support to clients, project teams, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Drawings:
- Prepare Civil Layout drawings.
- Develop Electro-Mechanical equipment layout and foundation layout drawings.
- Create piping layout drawings for STP/WTP/RO systems.
- Estimate equipment loads and foundation load data.
- Prepare fabrication drawings for PSF (Pressure Sand Filter), ACF (Activated Carbon Filter), and softeners.
- Develop Process Flow and Hydraulic Flow Drawings.
- Create rough sketches and use CAD software for plans and blueprints.
- Prepare tender drawings for STP/WTP during the pre-order stage.
- Ensure designs comply with building regulations and engineering principles.
- Perform design calculations for MBBR, SBR, MBR, and WTP systems.
- Provide technical support to Sales, Projects, and Purchasing teams.
Site Visits and Client Meetings:
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, fabricators, and vendors.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and assess design feasibility.
- Update and revise drawings based on process requirements, customer inputs, and consultant feedback.
- Prepare "as-built" drawings for existing plants based on site conditions.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings and interact with stakeholders regarding technical issues.
- Design retrofitting solutions for existing plants.
BOQ (Bill of Quantities) Support:
- Collaborate with project and execution teams to prepare BOQs.
Documentation:
- Prepare material lists, specification sheets, and detailed fabrication reports.
- Review technical specifications and approve engineering documentation, including drawings and bills of materials.
- Coordinate with clients and project teams for drawing approvals and ensure GFC (Good for Construction) drawings are handed over to the respective Site MEP teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Civil, or relevant engineering discipline.
5+ years of experience in design and drafting for water and wastewater treatment systems.
Proficiency in CAD software and design tools.
Strong knowledge of MBBR, SBR, MBR, and WTP system design principles.
Familiarity with building regulations and engineering standards.
Excellent coordination and communication skills.
