Manager: Corporate Purchase & Supply Chain

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage procurement activities of machine manufacturing components, capital equipment, and printing consumables. Ensure seamless coordination between suppliers, production, and inventory management while adhering to quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

JOB

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for machine parts, consumables, and plant equipment.
• Oversee supplier development, negotiations, and contract finalization to ensure best value sourcing.
• Manage all purchase-related documentation including PO, GRN, MRR, and inward quality approvals.
• Coordinate closely with production, design, and accounts teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Implement and monitor inventory control systems to avoid understocking and overstocking.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor performance and ensure supplier compliance with quality standards.
• Leverage ERP (SAP/MM or similar) systems for procurement tracking and reporting.
• Prepare and review cost analysis and procurement reports for senior management.
• Lead store and logistics operations ensuring 5S and lean practices are followed.
• Liaise with statutory authorities for any import/export compliance if applicable.

Experience with Local/ International vendors will be additional advantage)

1. Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory and report to management

2. Handle and coordinate with international imports, custom houses, clearing agents, freight forwarders and related compliances.

3. Track shipment status, delivery timelines, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline. MBA (Supply chain) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and store management.
• Experience in printing and packaging materials preferred.
• Proficient in SAP or any ERP system.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team and work cross-functionally
