Manager-Contracts

This position is based in Delhi, India, with the Contracts Manager providing support for data center projects located globally. Your key responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation, review, and finalization of customer and vendor contracts in alignment with legal and commercial standards. You will coordinate with the Data Center sales team on pre-contract matters and with operations teams on post-contract administration. Supporting the tracking and execution of contractual deliverables, timelines, and milestones will be crucial, along with liaising with internal departments to ensure contractual obligations meet operational and business requirements. Additionally, maintaining contract records and supporting compliance with internal governance and approval processes will be part of your role. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a solid understanding of commercial contracts, preferably in the data center industry, and have experience working in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional environment. Your duties will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts such as colocation agreements, managed services agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), interconnection agreements, and cloud service agreements. You will be responsible for ensuring that all contracts are comprehensive, contractually sound, and aligned with business goals. Developing standard contract templates for recurring agreements and customizing them as needed for specific clients will also be part of your responsibilities. In terms of negotiation and finalization, you will lead contract negotiations for leasing space and services with potential and existing Data Center clients. Resolving contractual issues and disputes, working closely with internal stakeholders and external parties, and finalizing contracts with all necessary approvals and signatures are essential tasks. To manage risk and ensure compliance, you will proactively identify and propose solutions to mitigate potential legal and business risks within contracts. Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, and implementing best practices for contract management will be key. You will oversee adherence to all relevant laws and regulations and manage a contract management system to track contract status, obligations, and renewals. Collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Legal teams to ensure contracts align with business goals and compliance is crucial. Being the primary point of contact for Data Center clients on all contractual matters and fostering positive customer relationships by promptly addressing any compliance issues are part of your responsibilities. Monitoring contract performance, addressing compliance issues, and continuously improving contract management practices to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks will also be part of your duties. Qualifications/Specific Experience/Skills: - Relevant Degree in Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent - Minimum 12-15 years of work experience with at least 5-8 years in contract drafting - Member of relevant professional institutions - Ability to work with International standard forms of Contracts and bespoke versions - Excellent English language skills (both spoken and written) - Proficiency in drafting amendments to agreements, settlement agreements, etc. - Ability to address and resolve contractual issues/disputes - Highly organized, efficient, systematic, and a team player,
