Manager / Asst Manager - Purchase

As a Manager / Assistant Manager Purchase in our pharmaceutical API manufacturing setup, your role will involve managing procurement activities for raw materials. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing end-to-end procurement of raw materials required for API manufacturing - Developing and maintaining relationships with domestic and international suppliers, with a focus on sourcing from China and other countries - Handling procurement of small quantity R&D-specific raw materials to ensure timely availability - Negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers for cost efficiency and quality - Evaluating supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery timelines, and price - Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to procurement and import/export processes - Coordinating with R&D and production departments to forecast procurement needs and manage inventory levels effectively - Preparing and maintaining procurement reports, records, and documentation - Liaising with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory authorities for import processes - Identifying potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities, and initiating vendor development as required Key Skills required for this role include: - In-depth knowledge of API raw materials procurement - Strong understanding of international procurement, including import regulations and documentation - Excellent negotiation and communication skills - Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical industry - Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) Your qualifications should include a B.Sc/M.Sc in Chemistry and 6-8 years of relevant experience. This is a full-time, permanent position with a day shift schedule, and the work location is in person.,
