Job Description

Looking for a skilled professional with 15 to 20 years of experience to lead our application engineering team in Pune, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical or mechanical engineering and experience in liquid ring vacuum pumps and compressors.

Roles and Responsibility

Manage all pre-order and post-order activities for liquid ring vacuum pumps and compressors.
Develop technical solutions for packages based on client specifications and GDN/engineering standards.
Prepare detailed technical offers, cost sheets, and commercial offers, addressing customer queries and attending techno-commercial meetings.
Lead a team of Project Engineers and Designers to handle power segment orders.
Execute technical deliveries from the Engineering department and oversee post-order activities, including PID preparation, PFD creation, data sheet development, layout preparation, and customer approval.
Attend Hazop/SIL studies and 3D modeling reviews during project execution, securing necessary customer approvals.
Implement best engineering practices in package designing and manufacturing.
Support sales, marketing activities, and product development initiatives, presenting business cases to top management for special projects and preparing monthly progress reports highlighting segment trends, upcoming project details, and competition information.
Monitor competitor activity, market trends, new projects, and prepare monthly reports, providing feedback to the product development center to guide new product/service design and development.
Identify new applications/markets for NASH products, increase order booking/revenues, identify cost reduction opportunities, and support i2V engineer-related activities.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering (or international equivalent) with over 15 years of relevant experience in rotating equipment and packages.
Experience in Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump/Dry Screw Vacuum pump products or Application Engineering Knowledge in Rotating equipment like process gas blowers, compressors, etc.
Project management experience is required, along with the ability to interface with all levels of engineering, procurement, shipping, production, and develop excellent working relationships with customers.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as well as good negotiating and influencing capabilities at senior levels.
Knowledge in Application/Simulation software line ASPEN/Chemcad, etc., is preferred.
Team handling experience and the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment are highly valued.
