Role and Responsibilities:

Role: HPDC/ LPDC/ GDC dies Manufacturing (In-house/vendor ) assembly, tryout & commissioning at casting Production vendor

Responsibilities:

New die casting dies development.

• Part proving at production vendor & dies commissioning
• Tryout, debugging & validation for die casting in-house & at tooling vendor.
• Resolving Quality & Productivity issues for die casting parts.
• Initiate & implement cost reduction proposals for die casting parts.
• Process simulation study, DFM feedback & process finalization.
• DFM for die design for Quality issues of similar parts & improvements.
• New concept tooling development for lead time reduction, productivity improvement & cost reduction.
• Handling of in-house die casting tool manufacturing, tryout & SIR activities.
• Implementation of SOPs, check-sheets etc. for flawless manufacturing of dies.
• Proactive upgradation of process to get zero defect supplies.
• Study process to improve detectability of defects.
• To deliver the parts in time for pre-pilot, pilot batches  as per schedule
• To complete development of parts as per schedule to meet SOP as per target.

Technical/ Functional:

• Knowledge in die casting technology & die casting machines
• Proficient in advanced manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of different steel grades PVD coatings used in dies
• Expertise in advance cutting tool applications.
• Knowledge of PDC metal flow simulation analysis (e.g. Magma)
• Expertise in die casting part defect analysis & countermeasures.
• Knowledge engine assembly and function of various parts.
• Knowledge of secondary processes like casting machining and surface treatment
• Good understanding of all applicable standards/ regulations and their application.
• Knowledge of DFM, DRBFM PRBFM & PFMEA

Soft Skill set: UG NX Excel, Power Point, SAP, Team Centre
