Manager Accounts Receivable & Credit Control

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounts receivable records. This includes ensuring that aging reports are up to date, applying credits and collections, accounting for uncollectible amounts, and resolving any miscellaneous discrepancies. Your daily tasks will involve recording cash collections, updating cash receipt logs, and posting cash transactions to the accounts receivable sub-ledger. You will also be required to monitor and collect outstanding accounts receivable by contacting clients through various means such as telephone, email, and in-person visits. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accounts receivable records and ensure accuracy of aging reports - Record cash collections, update cash receipt logs, and post cash transactions - Monitor and collect outstanding accounts receivable by contacting clients - Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to accounts receivable for management - Support other team members in accounting, finance, warehouse inventory management, and cost accounting - Conduct regular meetings and follow-ups with the sales team regarding overdue uncollectible amounts Qualifications Required: - Strong follow-up, communication, and negotiation skills - Ability to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders - Good presentation skills with a keen attention to detail - Team player with a collaborative mindset - Commerce graduate with experience in accounts receivable and credit control - Experience in the FMCG sector is an added advantage In addition to the job responsibilities and qualifications mentioned above, this is a full-time, permanent position that requires at least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and credit control.
