Key responsibilities may include:

• Financial Reporting:

  Preparing and presenting comprehensive financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including analysis and insights for decision-making.

• Budgeting and Forecasting:

  Developing and managing annual budgets, forecasting future financial performance, and monitoring variances against budget.

• Accounting Operations:

  Overseeing day-to-day accounting functions like accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed asset management, and bank reconciliations.

• Tax Compliance:

  Ensuring compliance with all applicable Indian tax laws including GST, TDS, corporate tax filings, and coordinating with tax advisors.

• Internal Controls:

  Implementing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

• Statutory Audits:

  Managing external statutory audits and ensuring timely completion of audit requirements.

• Team Management:

  Leading and mentoring a team of accountants, providing guidance on technical accounting issues and performance management.

• Financial Analysis:

  Performing financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for cost optimization

• Stakeholder Communication:

  Communicating financial information clearly to senior management, board members, and other stakeholders

• System Implementation:

  Evaluating and implementing new accounting software or systems to improve efficiency and accuracy

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards and tax regulations
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Proficient in accounting software.
• Strong communication and analytical skills
