Maintenance Supervisor

Role Overview: As a hospital maintenance supervisor, your main responsibility will be to oversee all maintenance and repair work, manage a team of technicians, and ensure that the facilities are safe and operational. You will need to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, manage budgets, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and respond to emergencies. Additionally, you will be coordinating with other departments, maintaining records, scheduling staff, and ordering supplies. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff and technicians. - Schedule and assign work based on priority, skill, and workload. - Communicate with and act as a liaison between staff and senior management. - Oversee outside contractors and vendors to ensure work is completed on time and within budget. - Oversee routine maintenance and repair work on all hospital equipment and facilities. - Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns. - Respond to emergency repair requests to minimize disruption to hospital operations. - Inspect facilities to identify potential issues and required maintenance. - Ensure the facility and all work comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including those from bodies like the OSHA. - Lead safety inspections and ensure the team adheres to all safety protocols. - Manage the maintenance budget, track expenses, and approve purchase orders. - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history. - Prepare reports for management and help forecast future maintenance needs. - Manage spare parts inventory. Qualifications Required: - In-depth understanding of building systems such as electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems. - Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including hospital-specific practices and regulatory requirements like OSHA standards. - Ability to implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to avoid costly breakdowns. - Proficiency with maintenance software (CMMS) and basic computer applications for record-keeping and reporting.,
