Job Description: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Department: Maintenance / Engineering Experience Required: Minimum 8 years Education: Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to ensure smooth functioning, preventive care, and repair of production machinery. The role requires expertise in mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, as well as the ability to perform predictive and preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, hands-on problem-solving skills, and proficiency in SAP PM. Key Responsibilities Perform breakdown and preventive maintenance of production machines. Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic controlled machines. Monitor equipment and identify abnormalities in a timely manner. Update, track, and execute the preventive maintenance plan. Suggest and implement improvements to extend machine life cycles. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machines using engineering drawings. Coordinate with store in-charge for spare parts ordering. Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic circuit diagrams. Operate predictive maintenance equipment for data recording and storage. Maintain safe handling and storage of tools and maintenance equipment. Prepare simple sketches of machine parts when required. Inspect machinery to identify root causes of breakdowns. Operate workshop equipment (drill machines, hydraulic presses, pedestal grinders) to fabricate or repair parts. Follow lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safety. Maintain cleanliness of the work area after repairs and during daily operations. Ensure adherence to all company safety policies and procedures. Commission and install new machinery/equipment. Support department in meeting operational targets and goals. Actively participate in idea management, continuous improvement, and environmental safety initiatives. Perform additional maintenance-related tasks assigned by the supervisor. Desired Skills & Qualifications Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 8 years of relevant maintenance experience. Strong knowledge of machines, tools, designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Experience working with SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) module. Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Marathi. Ability to interpret technical drawings and troubleshoot mechanical systems. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on safety and reliability.
