As the Maintenance Manager at Surya International Enterprise Pvt Ltd's Solar PV Module manufacturing plant located in Info Valley, Khordha, Odisha, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of production processes by maintaining the equipment and machinery in optimal working condition. With a BTech/Diploma qualification and more than 4 years of experience in Solar PV Module Manufacturing Line Maintenance, you will play a pivotal role in the following key areas: Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all production machinery to minimize downtime and enhance asset life. Oversee corrective maintenance activities to troubleshoot, repair, and restore equipment to optimal condition when breakdowns occur. Equipment Monitoring: Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment to identify areas for improvement, implementing continuous monitoring techniques to predict potential failures and prevent unexpected breakdowns. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring training on new technologies and safety protocols. Organize work shifts to ensure maintenance coverage during plant operation hours. Equipment Optimization: Continuously seek ways to improve equipment efficiency, reduce production costs, and enhance automation systems. Implement and monitor energy-saving initiatives to reduce energy consumption in the manufacturing processes. Spare Parts Management: Maintain critical spare parts inventory, build strong vendor relationships for timely supply, and identify cost-effective suppliers to minimize downtime. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, and workplace safety laws. Develop and enforce safety protocols for maintenance workers. Budget Management: Oversee the maintenance budget, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving measures while evaluating the need for new equipment or upgrades through cost-benefit analyses. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Take a lead role in resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues, conducting root cause analysis of recurring problems, and implementing corrective measures. Data Management and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades while generating reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs for management review. Collaboration: Coordinate with production and engineering departments to schedule maintenance downtime with minimal impact on production schedules, participating in cross-functional teams for continuous improvement in processes and equipment design. Quality Assurance: Support the production team in maintaining quality standards, ensuring that maintenance activities do not compromise the quality of solar modules produced, and regularly calibrate equipment to meet industry standards.
