Maintenance Manager

You will:

Responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department. This includes managing the upkeep of all manufacturing assets, managing maintenance budget and resources and assisting in the design and installation of new systems. In addition, this position is responsible for managing multiple shifts of Maintenance Supervisors and mechanics.

To be successful, you will be expected to:

• Performs maintenance management by supervising maintenance personnel and establishing priorities in maintenance schedules.
• Maintains manufacturing assets and facility, parts inventory, monitoring purchase orders, invoice approvals, and manages the department budget
• Manages maintenance personnel by setting direction and priorities
• Provides training and continuous development on all maintenance personnel
• Performs Performance Evaluations on direct reports at least twice a year.
• Verifies Performance Evaluations are being performed on technical work force by his/her direct report
• Drives the Maintenance and Reliability initiative focused on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance, not reactive.
• Performs other duties by coordinating work with outside inspections, providing project management, ensuring safety of personnel, and performing other duties as required.
• Managing, maintaining, and establishing maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or performs better than budget
• Developing and maintaining quality standards
• Developing and maintaining associate safety standards.
• Develop associate and supervisor skills by conducting training meetings; one on one development sessions; outside technical skills training; and establishing and monitoring performance reviews for supervisors
• Setting and maintaining departmental budget by reviewing financial statements; monitoring line efficiencies; monitoring labor cost; and other expenses

• Participate in designing and developing future production capacities by attending design meetings; coordinating with Research & Development regarding product changes and improvements; and updating maintenance operating procedures and schedules to incorporate the changes
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Lead all maintenance and repair-related activities in the company, keeping in mind the roles of a repair manager
• Document and submit reports to the senior authorities (if any) or the stakeholders, regarding budgets, progress and time schedules
• Supervise the condition of all the equipment in the establishment and the potential upgrades and maintenance it might need as a preventive maintenance plan
• Manage the budgets of the maintenance plans, and ensure that everything is in line with legal and safety regulations
• Recognise areas of improvement in the facilities maintenance jobs in hand and their processes

• Strive towards the seamless running of the facility and the equipment of the company through efficient facility management work
• Work as a repair manager, and implement periodic investigations and inspections into each and every piece of physical equipment of the company
• Adhere to safety standards and legal regulations while executing maintenance management tasks and programs
• Train, guide and evaluate staff members as a manager of maintenance
• Learn about new processes, procedures and equipment that are being used worldwide, and try to adopt relevant processes into the companys maintenance management work.

You must have any or a combination of any of the following skills:

• Bachelors degree in engineering or a similar discipline
• 8 to 12 years Prior experience working as a maintenance manager, repair manager, or in a related role
• Experience in dealing with budgets, schedules and reporting in terms of maintenance work
• Understanding of legal safety regulations specific to India, within the industry
• Knowledge of equipment and facilities machines
• Knowledge and experience of the maintenance documents such as check sheet, PM schedule, SOP etc
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software or tools
• Should have experience in the maintenance tools such as - KPI, OEE, MTTR, MTBF etc
