Maintenance Manager

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee and manage all maintenance operations at our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in maintenance management, particularly in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a strong understanding of biomass production processes.

As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency, safety, and longevity of machinery and equipment within the plant, while leading a dedicated team of technicians and ensuring the highest standards of maintenance are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning & Execution:

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.
• Supervise and lead the maintenance team to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems in the plant.
• Oversee routine inspections and maintenance procedures to identify potential failures and minimize downtime.

Team Leadership & Management:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the maintenance team to ensure high levels of motivation, productivity, and efficiency.
• Ensure the team adheres to safety standards, and industry best practices, and complies with all relevant regulations.
• Conduct training sessions for maintenance staff on safety, equipment handling, and troubleshooting.

Budgeting & Cost Control:

• Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient resource utilization.
• Monitor maintenance costs and ensure proper documentation of work performed and associated expenses.

Inventory & Spare Parts Management:

• Maintain an optimal inventory of spare parts and materials required for maintenance operations.
• Negotiate with suppliers for the best prices and ensure that critical spares are always available to minimize downtime

Health & Safety Compliance:

• Ensure that all maintenance work complies with the companys safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and other legal requirements.
• Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions to prevent workplace accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Process Improvement & Innovation:

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and safety of plant equipment.
• Implement new technologies and maintenance techniques to improve operational performance.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and downtime.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on maintenance performance, KPIs, and equipment status.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Additional certifications in maintenance management (such as TPM, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or biomass-related industry.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, with experience leading a team of technicians.
• Strong understanding of machinery, equipment, and systems used in biomass manufacturing processes.

Skills

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Sound knowledge of safety standards and environmental regulations.
