Role Description

Machine Vision Sales Engineer


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new customers across Automotive, Electronics, FMCG, Pharma, Packaging, General Manufacturing, and Automation integrators.
  • Drive the complete sales cycle—from enquiry generation to technical clarification, proposal submission, negotiation, and closure.
  • Conduct customer visits, technical meetings, demos, and presentations.
  • Prepare solution proposals, commercial quotes, and ROI-based justifications.

Technical Application Understanding

  • Collect customer requirements and understand detailed inspection challenges.
  • Recommend suitable

    cameras, lenses, lighting, optics, filters, and vision software

    from product range.
  • Coordinate POC, sample testing, and feasibility with internal application engineers.
  • Assist in creating application reports, technical documents, and solution notes.
  • Stay updated with machine vision trends, technologies, and competitor offerings.
  • Provide inputs to the marketing team for application notes, case studies, and product positioning.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Automation, or related streams

    .
  • 2–5 years of experience in machine vision/automation/sensors/industrial equipment sales.
  • Strong understanding of

    industrial cameras (GigE/USB3), lenses, lighting, optics, filters, and vision software

    .
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to engineering and managerial audiences.
  • Good presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Readiness to travel for customer visits and demos.
