Job Summary:

The Machine Designer & Analyzer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and optimizing mechanical machines, tools, and systems. This role involves both creative design work and analytical evaluation to ensure performance, reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical design skills, proficiency in CAD software, and solid analytical and problem-solving abilities to improve machine efficiency and functionality. Collaboration with cross-functional engineering, production, and quality assurance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development

• Create detailed 2D and 3D models of machines and components using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Creo).
• Develop mechanical systems from concept to production, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Collaborate with electrical, automation, and manufacturing engineers during design integration.

• Analysis & Testing

• Perform engineering analyses such as stress, load, thermal, vibration, and fatigue simulations using FEA/CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
• Evaluate design performance and identify potential improvements in efficiency, durability and cost/budget.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of mechanical failures and implement corrective design actions.

• Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and design documentation.
• Present design concepts, test results, and improvement recommendations to management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, CE, or relevant local regulations).

• Continuous Improvement

• Research new materials, manufacturing processes, and automation technologies to enhance machine performance.
• Support production teams during prototype testing and implementation phases.
• Optimize existing machine designs for performance, energy efficiency, and reduced maintenance.

Skills:

• Technical Proficiency:

• CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.)
• Simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar)
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods (machining, casting, additive manufacturing, etc.)
• Familiarity with PLC integration and automation principles (preferred)
