Micato Safaris, honored ten times as the "#1 World's Best Tour Operator & Safari Outfitter" by Travel+Leisure, is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and customer-obsessed Associate Programme Coordinator to support our Classic and Custom Collection of luxury safaris and journeys across Africa and India.
You’re a proactive, organized, and empathetic professional with a passion for travel and operations. • Serve as an essential partner to Safari Specialists, supporting every stage of the sales cycle—from itinerary design to post-travel follow-up—with precision and care.
• Play a key role in delivering flawless, high-touch luxury travel experiences by managing the smallest details with consistency and accuracy.
• Provide high-level administrative support, including booking management, invoicing, and maintaining client profiles through our proprietary reservation platform and Microsoft Office 365.
• Support the coordination of complex travel logistics—such as custom extensions, accommodations, and on-the-ground services—ensuring each component aligns seamlessly for a worry-free journey.
• Enter and audit operational details with an unwavering commitment to accuracy, knowing that even the smallest oversight can impact the guest experience.
• Support team efficiency and excellence by contributing to internal process improvements and fostering a collaborative, detail-oriented work environment.
• Bachelor’s degree (Hospitality, Travel, or Business preferred); MBA or advanced certifications a plus.
• Two to five years of experience in travel operations, customer experience, or program coordination.
• Demonstrated success in providing exceptional administrative support, with a strong ability to juggle multiple priorities, manage details meticulously, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM or reservations databases is a bonus.
• Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal.
• A collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, eager to support colleagues and contribute to a positive, high-performing work environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders with grace and efficiency.
• Experience working with high-net-worth individuals or luxury clientele is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with destinations in East Africa, Southern Africa, and India is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural work environment and adapt to diverse work styles.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct discrepancies in travel itineraries and arrangements.
• Agile learner with capacity to adjust to changing workflows.
• Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Vendor & Partner Management: Skilled in building and maintaining strategic relationships.
• Customer Experience Leadership: Experience in managing escalations and driving satisfaction.
• Event & Project Coordination: Ability to plan and execute complex itineraries and logistics.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with tools like Canva, CRM platforms, AI and digital collaboration tools.
• Creative & Agile: Able to adapt quickly, think on your feet, and contribute to a high-energy team.
