Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Logistics Pricing Executive – Freight. The Logistics Pricing Executive will be responsible for preparing quotations, managing pricing strategies, communicating with clients and suppliers, and ensuring competitive pricing in the market. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as analyzing market trends, collaborating with the sales team, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of pricing information to clients. The position is Remote - Full Time based in India.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse freight market trends, carrier tariffs, and capacity to maintain competitive pricing.
  • Liaise with international air freight agents, airline operators and brokers to agree transport costs and ensure the best possible solutions are sourced, to fit clients’ requirements
  • Have an understanding of all risks involved with each shipment and mitigating those risks
  • Calculate freight rates, including chargeable weight conversions
  • Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, and consolidators to secure rate agreements and space allocations.
  • Support vendor contract management and maintain rate databases.
  • Respond to RFQs and ad-hoc pricing requests in collaboration with sales and bid teams.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including Sales, Operations, and Finance, as well as vendors to source pricing and freight information.
  • Align with the sales team to source prices, assist with quotations and respond to opportunities by sourcing pricing and providing deal coordination support.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors (shipping lines, airlines, international agents, trucking companies, other logistics companies) to obtain updated pricing and freight info.
  • Coordinate and problem solve with carriers, forwarding companies, and other entities to ensure successful deliveries of customer cargo.
  • Actively participate, advise and help make decisions in selection of carriers.
  • Maintain SharePoint documents linked to proper location (rates, cost changes, forwarders reports, general info).
  • Ensure that all information being conveyed by the customer to the internal teams is accurate – delivery addresses, pricing, cross, references, packing, special instructions etc.
  • Implementation of standardized processes and follow up of procedures, guidelines.


Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service and Communication skills
  • Proficiency in Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management
  • Experience in Sales and developing pricing strategies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Relevant experience in the logistics or freight industry is a plus
  • Strong proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
