Job Description for Distacart Title: Logistics Manager (Overseas Operations) About Distacart: Distacart is a global e-commerce platform which specializes in cross border e-commerce. Job Location: Hyderabad Shift: Should be flexible in shifts (General shift 10am to 7pm) Roles and Responsibilities: 1. End-to-End Supply Chain Function Manage and coordinate end-to-end supply chain for products shipped from Fulfilment Centres (FCs) in India to Customers , FBA, 3PLs in the countries being serviced by Distacart and Genie Exports Pvt Ltd and its other companies through their channel partners like DHL. Fedex UPS, India Post, Aramex etc. 2. Logistics & Operations - Manage and own the shipment cycle and ensure time-and-cost effective logistics operations from India to overseas locations. 3. Formalize Operating Procedures for export Shipments. Develop standard operating procedures and scheduling/shipping practices for efficiently carrying out logistics activities. 4. Cost Optimization Negotiate air freight quotes with carriers. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, material flow improvement, and business development. 5. Cost Updation Inform cost changes, shipment issues, supply concerns to respective personnel and team in a timely manner. 6. Financial Reporting. Create and maintain detailed financial reporting on all export activities including order management, logistics and shipping. 7. Regulatory and Compliance Procedures. Ensure that shipment department activities are conducted in accordance with local, state and federal customs laws of the countries being serviced by Distacart and its affiliate companies. 8. Knowledge Base. Prepare a knowledge base for export regulation specific to each geography in terms of restrictions on category of products, quantity of products, max invoice values, taxations and customs duties, documentary compliances for shipment and various categories of the products etc. 9. Formalizing Shipment Methods Designing, developing and editing the plans, programs, rules, regulations and methods of logistics that are carried out or followed in the specific section. 10. Operational Performance. Analyse operational performance and resolve issues customs, compliance, regulatory issues specific to shipment zones/countries with other departments in consultation with our channel partners 11. 3PLs Management - Manage and own the distribution cycle for overseas 3PLs for Warehousing and last mile delivery. Also, monitor the performance of the network of logistics service providers, and carriers. 12. Distribution Network Planning and Management - Find cost - effective network solutions for supply chain that can seamlessly integrate with the IT systems. 13. Metrics Management - Actively analyze and report Supply Chain and Fulfilment metrics to drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements. 14. Technology Function - Ensure proper EDI order processing, Returns, Refunds, Replacement, Credit, Invoice Creation; manage ERP integration and process automation

Required Skills and Qualifications
1. Minimum 6 years hands-on working experience in e-commerce supply chain management primarily in overseas shipments and compliances. 2. Past experience of working in DHL/ Fedex/ UPS/Aramex outbound gateways is desirable. 3. Should have B2B as well as B2C experience working with Amazon FBA or 3PL partner of repute. 4. Good understanding of Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, Strategic Planning, and Process Improvisation. 5. Computer savvy, ability to quickly learn IT systems; strong understanding of EDI and ERP. 6. Excellent grip over Excel for analysing large data.
