Responsibilities

• Create, adjust, and manage delivery schedules.

Shipment monitoring:

• Monitor and track the status of all incoming and outgoing deliveries.
• Ensure products are dispatched on time and meet quality control standards.

Communication:

• Communicate with drivers to provide directions, updates, and support.
• Liaise with customers to provide status updates and resolve inquiries or issues.
• Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and other internal departments.

Administration and record-keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, shipments, and delivery information.
• Ensure correct paperwork is completed for each delivery.
• Prepare invoices and handle financial aspects like tracking cash flow and managing fuel use.

Problem-solving:

• Address and resolve transportation-related issues and emergencies promptly.
• Handle complaints and report on problems that arise.

Inventory and fleet management:

• Check inventory levels at various locations.
• Manage a fleet of vehicles to ensure they are in good working order.
• Supervise the loading and unloading of goods.
