Job Description

Job Title: Operations Manager Logistics Location: Mumbai Industry: Logistics / Transportation Experience: 5+ years in logistics/transport operations preferred Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily logistics operations, manage vendor and client relationships, and ensure efficient deployment and tracking of vehicles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end operations, creating and maintaining MIS reports, handling vendor payments and client receivables, and acting as the Key Account Manager (KAM) for key clients. Key Responsibilities: 1. Vendor Management Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics vendors and transporters. Evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with service-level agreements. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service terms with vendors to ensure cost efficiency and quality service. 2. Operations & Vehicle Deployment Ensure timely and efficient deployment of vehicles as per client requirements. Monitor and optimize vehicle routing, turnaround time, and availability. Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve operational bottlenecks. 3. Client Coordination & KAM Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing daily communication and ensuring service satisfaction. Handle escalations, provide regular updates, and deliver tailored solutions to meet client-specific logistics needs. Build long-term partnerships with clients through trust and performance. 4. MIS & Reporting Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive MIS to track daily operations, vehicle utilization, delivery status, and overall performance. Provide periodic reports and dashboards to management and clients. Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. 5. Financial Coordination Manage payment cycles for both vendors and clients, ensuring timely invoicing, follow-ups, and reconciliations. Work with the accounts department to resolve payment disputes and maintain financial accuracy.
