About The Opportunity

Role Snapshot

• Shift: Night (locum RMO)
• Commitment: 5 nights/month
• Compensation: INR 800 per hour
• Workplace: On-site
  

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide focused overnight pediatric clinical coverage: evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and urgent pediatric presentations in emergency, ward, and observation areas.
• Stabilize critically ill children—perform resuscitation, airway management, IV/vascular access, and initiate appropriate emergency therapies following protocols.
• Conduct timely patient reassessments, escalate care to senior pediatricians or intensivists when needed, and facilitate safe transfers to higher level care.
• Document all assessments, orders, prescriptions, and handover notes accurately in the hospital record/EMR at shift change.
• Perform routine ward duties for admitted pediatric patients during night shifts including medication administration, monitoring, and executing care plans.
• Participate in effective handovers and communicate clearly with nursing staff, on-call consultants, and family members regarding clinical status and next steps.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• MBBS with valid Indian medical registration and demonstrable pediatric clinical experience (RMO or equivalent) in hospital settings.
• Proven experience working night shifts/locum RMO roles in pediatrics with ability to manage acute emergencies independently.
• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Strong emergency stabilization skills: airway management, IV/IO access, fluid/resuscitation protocols, and pediatric drug dosing.
• Excellent documentation practices and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) or hospital charting systems.
  

Preferred

• Experience in neonatal care, pediatric ICU, or emergency department (ED) pediatric rotations.
• Prior locum experience with reliable availability for scheduled night shifts and efficient handover discipline.
