Linux system engineer trainee

We are seeking a skilled Linux Server Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize our Linux-based server infrastructure. The role involves deploying, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting Linux systems to ensure maximum availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat, etc.) in physical and virtual environments.
• Perform server administration tasks including user management, permissions, and security hardening.
• Manage services such as Apache/Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, PHP, DNS, FTP, SSH, and mail servers.
• Monitor system performance and resource utilization, applying performance tuning where necessary.
• Handle patch management, updates, and backup/recovery operations.
• Implement security measures including firewalls, SELinux, and intrusion detection systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Work with virtualization technologies (VMware, Proxmox, KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Configure and manage control panels like WHM/cPanel, Plesk, or Webmin.
• Automate tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible scripts.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure smooth deployment of applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Linux server administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Proficiency in command-line operations and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, DNS, and VPNs.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Familiarity with control panels (cPanel/WHM, Plesk) and hosting environments.
• Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools is an advantage.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Pay: ₹10,000.08 - ₹18,000.00 per month
