Linux and window administraion

ABOUT ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in managing and maintaining Linux-based environments. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, practical knowledge of Linux server administration, and a proactive mindset to ensure system stability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or other distributions).
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control.
• Perform routine system backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Apply patches, updates, and perform system upgrades.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Manage and configure services such as Apache/Nginx, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH, and mail servers.
• Ensure security best practices, including firewall configuration and vulnerability management.
• Automate routine tasks using shell scripting or other automation tools.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and IT teams for smooth operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Linux system administration experience.
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).
• Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Python, or Perl preferred).
• Knowledge of system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, or similar).
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V).
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls).
• Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Good to Have (Optional)

• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
