Job Description

Technical Skills:
Core Linux Administration (Red Hat), Linux Server Administrator-L3
Not application support/developer
Hands-on experience with DNS/NFS/Samba
Hands-on experience or knowledge in any one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud)
Responsibilities:
- Provide L3/L4 expert support for Linux (SUSE and Red Hat) and Windows OS, hosted in hyperscaler platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS, IBM Cloud) and SAP/Customer On-prem DC.
- Ensure 24/7 availability of systems, responding promptly to alerts and incidents in Linux OS and infrastructure layers across hyperscalers.
- Act as the L3/L4 escalation contact for critical production issues, strictly adhering to change management protocols during service request execution.
- Optimize standard operating procedures by leveraging automation techniques and implementing solutions to enhance platform operations, efficiency, and reliability.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cloud services, emphasizing scalability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with a diverse, multinational team to deliver world-class cloud services for global enterprise customers.
- Contribute to designing and implementing strategies to optimize customer experience and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Requirements:
- 8-12 years of experience in administering Linux operating systems (Red Hat / SUSE) at an advanced level, with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in networking, including TCP/IP, IP routing, NAT, and firewalls.
- Expertise in managing network services such as DNS, LDAP, and HTTP proxies.
- Hands-on experience in administering hyperscaler environments, including managing compute and storage.
- Experience in administering hyperscaler network infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, NSGs, and NAT gateways.
- Experience with administering and managing containers and Kubernetes clusters.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools like Nagios and Prometheus, and ticketing tools like ServiceNow.
- Strong understanding of IT security practices, particularly in OS hardening techniques.
- Proven track record in scripting languages (PowerShell, Linux Shell, Perl, Python, Go) and experience with server automation tools like Ansible.
