Role Description

Lighting Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Concept Development:

  Create innovative lighting designs that balance functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability for residential and commercial projects.

• Project Execution:

  Prepare lighting layouts, specifications, and BOQs, and support the execution of projects from concept through completion. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure design intent is realized.

• Client Collaboration:

  Engage with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements. Present design proposals, mood boards, and mockups to communicate ideas effectively.

• Technical Integration:

  Work with electrical and automation engineers to integrate lighting designs seamlessly with smart control systems.

• Quality Assurance:

  Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure accurate implementation of lighting plans and maintain design quality.

• Trend Awareness:

  Stay updated with the latest lighting technologies, fixtures, and design trends to bring fresh ideas and innovation into projects.

Skills Requirements

• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD

  for creating lighting layouts and drawings
• Knowledge of

  lighting design software

  such as Dialux / Dialux evo (preferred)
• Strong sense of

  creativity and design aesthetics

• Good

  communication and presentation skills

  to interact with clients and teams

• Attention to detail

  with the ability to balance functionality and design
