Job Description

The Lift Technician - Final Testing is responsible for conducting final inspections and tests on lifts (elevators) to ensure they meet safety standards, operational efficiency, and quality requirements before they are dispatched from the factory. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong technical skills, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Final Inspection and Testing:
  • Perform comprehensive tests on lift systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Verify that all components are correctly installed and functioning as intended.
  • Conduct load tests and other performance evaluations to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure lifts comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and document any defects or issues found during testing.
  • Collaborate with the production team to address and resolve any quality concerns.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of test results, inspections, and any corrective actions taken.
  • Prepare detailed reports on the condition and performance of each lift.
  • Communicate findings to relevant stakeholders, including engineers and quality assurance teams.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during testing procedures.
  • Ensure that lifts meet all applicable safety regulations before approval.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory changes.
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the production team regarding lift systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues encountered during testing.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing procedures and quality control processes.
  • Suggest improvements to lift designs based on testing experiences and feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • ITI/Diploma is Required.
  • Preferred Departments – Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2-6 years of experience in lift/elevator installation, maintenance, or testing.
  • Proven experience in conducting final inspections and tests on lift systems.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong technical knowledge of lift systems, including electrical, mechanical, and control components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficient in using testing equipment and tools.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.

Working Conditions:

  • Factory environment with exposure to machinery and equipment.
  • Requires standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
