Key Responsibilities

• Resource & Collection Management
• Acquire, catalog, and organize physical and digital materials aligned with international curricula. Maintenance of OPAC/library management systems.
• Instruction & Curriculum Integration

Teach information literacy skills and collaborate with teachers to embed library sessions in the curriculum.

• Reading Programs & Community Engagement

Plan/promote reading initiatives like book clubs, author sessions, and themed events to foster literacy

.Guide students and staff in locating and evaluating resources, both digital and physical.

Manage library budget and subscriptions, supervise staff/volunteers, conduct inventory and usage reporting.

Qualifications

• Administration & Leadership

• Master’s in Library & Information Science (MLIS/MLS) or equivalent. Teaching qualification (e.g., BEd, PGCE) is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of librarian experience, including at least part in an international school.
• Proficient with library management software (Follett Destiny, OPAC) and digital platforms.
• Demonstrated instructional skills, curriculum alignment, and literacy promotion.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
