Job Description

Position Title:

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal & Compliance

  • Handle legal cases related to civil, criminal, labour, and commercial matters.
  • Coordinate with external advocates, legal advisors, and law enforcement agencies.
  • Draft, review, and maintain legal documents, agreements, and contracts.
  • Represent the company before courts, tribunals, and statutory authorities as required.

2. Liaison with Authorities

  • Act as the primary liaison with Police Department, Pollution Control Board, Environment Department, Municipal Authorities, and other government bodies.
  • Ensure timely approvals, NOCs, licenses, and renewals for operations and showrooms.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with officials to ensure smooth business operations.

3. Showroom Support

  • Resolve disputes related to showrooms, property, or local matters in coordination with management.
  • Support showroom audits and address issues related to garment shortages or discrepancies.

4. Property & Compliance Matters

  • Handle property-related disputes, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental laws, labour laws, and retail business compliances across locations.

5. Coordination & Reporting

  • Act as a bridge between company management, legal authorities, and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare regular reports on case status, legal risks, and compliance updates for management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while safeguarding the company’s interests.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:

    LLB Degree (mandatory).
  • Experience:

    Minimum 5–7 years in liaisoning, legal handling, and compliance, preferably in corporate, retail, garment, or FMCG sectors.
  • Skills Required:

    • Strong knowledge of legal procedures, property laws, and compliance frameworks.
    • Excellent liaisoning and networking with government officials.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
    • High integrity, accountability, and ability to work independently.
    • Willingness to travel extensively across Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu.
