Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Government & Regulatory Liaison

  • Coordinate with government departments (e.g., municipal corporations, RERA, development authorities) for project approvals and compliance.
  • Ensure timely submission and follow-up of documentation for licenses, NOCs, and permits (e.g., building permits, fire NOC, environmental clearance).
  • Stay updated with local, state, and national real estate regulations and ensure company compliance.

Project Coordination Support

  • Act as a bridge between project teams, legal teams, architects, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in resolving land or project-related issues through coordination with concerned authorities.
  • Support project managers in ensuring that legal and procedural compliance is in place for smooth execution.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare, maintain, and track legal and regulatory documentation.
  • Maintain records of applications, approvals, correspondence, and follow-ups with departments.
  • Provide regular status updates to senior management regarding the progress of approvals or ongoing issues.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as government officials, consultants, landowners, and utility providers.
  • Represent the company in meetings with regulatory bodies or community forums.

Conflict Resolution

  • Mediate and resolve issues between the company and external stakeholders, including government bodies and communities.
  • Handle complaints or disputes related to land acquisition, approvals, or construction disruptions.

Legal & Compliance Support

  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure all regulatory filings and processes are in accordance with law.
  • Identify risks related to non-compliance and propose mitigation strategies.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong knowledge of local real estate regulations, permits, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple external relationships diplomatically.
  • Bachelors degree (law, public administration, business, or related field preferred).
  • Prior experience in a liaison or similar role in real estate or infrastructure is a plus.
