Legal Manager- EPC Contract

Opening with a leading Construction company for their office in Mumbai

Role: Legal Manager- EPC Contract

Experience: 5 to 10 Years

Role & responsibilities:

• Reviewing Proposals / ITB's, preparing contract deviaons and managing negoaons for new

opportunies (which includes reviewing Contract terms and condions, scope of work, project

procedures) for EPC projects in and outside of India

• Advising, reviewing and negoang documents such as MOU, Consorum, Joint Venture

Agreements. Advising on contract condions for Projects in varying jurisdicons, working with,

and understanding foreign governing/applicable law.

• Draing correspondence and legal documents, clauses, noces, agreements
• Advising on and review of Parent Company Guarantees and project finance documentaon.

Supporng preparaon, negoaons and implementaon of Subcontracts and Purchase

Orders. Assisng/advising in preparaon of Change Orders, Extensions of Time and Claims

raised by Clients, Vendors, Subcontractors and LTHE.

• Reviewing and negoang Non-Disclosure Agreements.
• Conduct research on relevant laws, regulaons, and legal provisions, legal principles, case laws

Assisng in handling arbitraons and ligaons and liaisoning with external lawyers.

• Working in close co-ordinaon with business team
• To provide soluons within legal framework for smooth achievement of business objecves
• Keep abreast of legislave changes that may affect the organizaon
• Preparing legal templates for standard agreements
• Timely follow-up with vendors/customers, Consultants and providing the appropriate

informaon as and when needed.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Law

• Knowledge of substanve contractual, business, commercial laws in India.

Experience:

• 6-8 years of experience with an EPC Company or a law firm handling EPC maers

• Excellent organizaonal skills with the ability to deliver to set deadlines

• Excellent Problem-solving skills

• Self-movated

• Independent, hands-on and driven with the aptude and atude to learn, embrace and adapt

to changes.
