About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Legal Journalist (Fresher) to join our editorial and research team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in legal affairs, court judgments, policy developments, and justice system reporting. You’ll be responsible for researching, writing, and editing legal news stories, articles, and analysis pieces in an accurate and reader-friendly manner.

Key Responsibilities

Research and report on current legal developments, court cases, and legislative updates.

Write clear, concise, and engaging news articles or features related to law and policy.

Assist in preparing case summaries, interviews, and legal opinion pieces.

Collaborate with editors, legal experts, and digital teams to produce timely content.

Ensure accuracy, objectivity, and compliance with journalistic and ethical standards.

Stay updated with legal trends, landmark judgments, and government notifications.

Qualifications & Skills

-Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB), Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.

-Strong understanding of Indian legal system, court hierarchy, and terminology.

-Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.

-Good command over English and/or Hindi (depending on publication language).

-Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

-Freshers with internship or campus publication experience are encouraged to apply.

-Preferred Skills (Optional):

-Familiarity with legal databases (e.g., SCC Online, Manupatra, LiveLaw, Bar & Bench).

-Basic knowledge of SEO and digital content writing.

-Interest in public policy, constitutional law, or legal journalism.
