Job Description

  1. Monitor legal changes that affect the organization.
  2. Communicate and negotiate with external parties (eg regulators / local authorities, external counsel, etc) and adherence to deadlines in relation to these relationships
  3. Draft, review and approve agreements, contracts, policies and other legal documents across the business to ensure organizations rights and interests are protected
  4. Implementation of documentation and legal process relevant to the functionality of the organization.
  5. Creating processes for smooth running of the organization wherever required.
  6. Maintain current knowledge of amendments of legislation relevant to the organizations business in jurisdictions where the organization operates, including preparing training materials and implementing internal processes.
  7. Work alongside other functions and departments within the Organization to provide accurate and timely advice on various legal topics.
  8. Develop a curriculum to convey legal matters to employees.
Requirements
  • Qualifications BA LLB/LLM
  • Excellent knowledge of corporate law and procedure
  • Organisation skills
  • Excellent legal drafting and communications skills and proficiency in English and other languages (written spoken)
  • Investigative skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, managing deadlines to meet stakeholdersexpectations
  • Enthusiastic and Eager to learn
  • Sound judgment and ability to analyse situations, facts and information, and full comprehension of the external environment which influences the Companybusiness operations
  • Negotiating skills
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with effective communication at all levels of the organization and the ability to maintain strong relationships within various functions
  • Tech-Savvy
  • Ability to work under pressure
