Job Description

Role Overview: As an ExcelHer Legal & Compliance at Volvo Financial Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Compliance Team with a focus on regulatory compliance and legal support. Your responsibilities will include providing legal and compliance opinions, offering day-to-day compliance support on regulatory topics, driving the compliance culture of the company, maintaining an overview of relevant regulatory legislation, and handling general transaction and corporate matters. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced department, collaborate with skilled colleagues, interact with high-level executives globally, and contribute to the success of the company. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with the VFS India's In-house Counsel and Compliance Manager to develop, implement, and support strategies, policies, and programs for managing regulatory compliance. - Stay updated on banking legislation and report new laws to VFS India Management and other internal stakeholders regularly. - Provide legal support for Volvo Treasury activities. - Assist in secretarial activities with the help of external counsel, including holding Board and Committee Meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and liaising with sponsors, shareholders, directors, and regulators. - Engage and coordinate with external advisors when necessary. - Handle other assignments as directed by the Management. Qualifications Required: - Membership of Institute of Company Secretaries of India. - At least 2 years of relevant qualified work experience with no more than a 4-year career gap. - Strong interest in business operations and willingness to learn and develop in new areas as the finance industry evolves. - Proven problem-solving abilities. - Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English. - Experience in working on compliances related to an NBFC or Bank is a plus but not mandatory.
