Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Behaviour Change-Exercise & Sport Psychology Employment Type: Full time (35 hours a week) Duration: Continuing Types of positions available: Open to candidates with either a combined teaching and research focus or an education focus, Remuneration: $127k $178k base (+17% super and leave loading) Work rights: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position Candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia to be considered for this position, Location: Kensington, Sydney The School of Health Sciences The School of Health Sciences at UNSW is rapidly expanding to service education agendas based on our four ground-breaking health professional education programs These programs have seen the scope of our teaching effort broaden significantly and moving forward, shape the future Health workforce in Australia and beyond, Why this role matters This position will be responsible for the content development and delivery of Behaviour Change/Mental Health content and Sports Psychology curricula in the School of Health Sciences Health Professional Programs Behaviour change/Mental Health is taught across all programs (disciplines of exercise, physiotherapy, dietetics and pharmacy) and Sports Psychology is taught within our Exercise Physiology program Whilst the Teaching and Research role, will additionally be expected to also conduct and high-quality research, We are open to appointing someone who has either a combined teaching and research focus or an education focus Please refer to the position descriptions for full details on both roles, Some Key Skills Required Level B Education Focused Role A completed PhD in a related discipline (Exercise or Psychology/Behaviour Change) (extensive and relevant clinical experience, combined with teaching experience may be considered in lieu of PhD) Demonstrated experience in sub-disciplinary areas of exercise behaviour change, mental health and health/sport psychology Proven commitment to proactive maintenance of discipline knowledge and development, Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery of courses (subjects) and programs (degrees), at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, Experience of implementing educational technologies and online delivery methods, Level C Education Focused Role (in addition to the above) Significant experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses (subjects) and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, Evidence of professional development in teaching and a strong track record of teaching excellence, including fostering this in others; with the ability to advance and lead an inclusive culture of excellence in learning and teaching Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement Level B Teaching & Research Role A completed PhD in a related discipline (Exercise or Psychology/Behaviour Change) Demonstrated experience in sub-disciplinary areas of exercise behaviour change, mental health and health/sport psychology Significant experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level Experience of implementing educational technologies and online delivery methods Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence and fostering this in others Evidence of professional development of teaching practice in self and others with the ability to advance and lead an inclusive culture of excellence in learning and teaching Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence as well as the capacity for research leadership Demonstrated experience in the supervision of research students at Honours and higher degree level Demonstrated ability to interact with the profession and industry and attract funding for research and learning and teaching initiatives Level C Teaching & Research Role (in addition to the above) Significant experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement, and a strong track record of teaching excellence including fostering this in others, Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence as well as the capacity for for people with disability, and access to flexible work options for eligible staff The University reserves the right not to proceed with any appointment,
